Food Connect

Food Connect is a nonprofit based in Philadelphia providing solutions for food procurement, logistics, and delivery — helping organizations combat hunger. By connecting food vendors with surplus to communities in need, they address both food waste and food insecurity. They approached us to elevate their brand, redesign their institutional website, and transition their manual logistics processes into a set of scalable digital platforms. We partnered with them to build tools that support their mission and expand their impact.

A Brand Foundation for Bigger Impact

Our collaboration began with the need for a stronger, clearer identity. We expanded the brand’s visual language to give Food Connect a more professional, cohesive voice that could speak to funders, partners, and the public with the same level of trust and clarity. This early work laid the groundwork for the platforms and web presence that would follow, helping position the organization for its next stage of growth.

From Manual Workflows to Smarter Tools

When we first joined forces, most of Food Connect’s logistics were handled manually. Our goal was to help their operations grow — without adding complexity, and so, we designed a set of custom platforms to support both internal teams and external partners. Across each product, we handled discovery, UX/UI design, and implementation support, building a unified design system that allowed the tools to grow together, not apart.

A Website That Evolves With the Mission

Alongside product work, we helped redesign and maintain their Webflow site — positioning Food Connect as both a credible organization and a compelling cause. Year after year, we’ve continued to improve the site based on analytics and goals: more impact stories, better donation flows, and a smoother experience across devices. So far, results include: 10% lower bounce rate, 20% more users scrolling through the homepage and increased donor conversions through a redesigned giving form.
